I met with Marcin and spoke of having my roof replaced due to storm damage from the previous year. My wife informed him that our insurance would be covering the complete roof. He provided a vague estimate which prompted my insurance to ask for specifics regarding measurements, and city code requirements. I forwarded my insurances request and Marcin replied by stating that yes he could provide the needed information but that there would be a $500 fee to do so. He went on to state that this fee would be accredited to me if his company was chosen to do the work and deal with the insurance directly. I was extremely disappointed by his response and decided that I will be using another company which values the needs of the potential customers to do the work on my home.

I asked for a quote and someone came out, and I never heard from them. I called and left a message and they never called me back. I would not recommend them. As an update, A and D responded to this review. FYI and man came out and measured for gutters, he said he would call with the estimate. I asked him to figure on me removing the gutters so I could paint the overhang. If A and D has no record of this does not mean they did not come out. Still looking for a quote however. Update; It is great to know that the owner values customers opinions and I would love to give a positive review when I get a quote to replace my gutters and have the work completed. So this is update number to I am still waiting to get an estimate from a&d home improvement I am currently taking estimates but I've still not heard from a&d I guess I'm going to have to keep the one star rating

We had A&D install block windows in our basement and bathroom. Very reasonal prices. We received a quick response and very attentive until work was complete. Good customer service. Very please with work would recommend and would use again.

We were in need of a new roof and once Ian Holland came to provide an estimate, we were impressed with the information he shared, the quality of the products to be used, the thorough evaluation of the job, and the fair pricing. The crew that removed the old roof and installed the new one had a work ethic that was impressive. On a very hot day, they not only brought their own water, respected our garden, worked efficiently as a team, cleaned up thoroughly, but managed all of that in a 12 full hours of work. Determining we needed some chimney repair, the contact was made and that was also professionally handled. Ian followed up with us and throughout the project we felt secure knowing this was a job that would be well done with his concern for our home and respect for our needs.

I usually don't write reviews, especially negative ones. Last year I had a total tear off roof installed on one of my rental properties. The old roof was made from shake wood shingles where there is a lot of debri that falls off everywhere including the attic as there is no plywood underneath the shingles. Jose was my sales representative. He told me that they will come out on the next rainy day to clean up the debri in the attic as they were low on time. A few rainy days passed and they never came out or scheduled with me to come back out. The tenant wanted the attic cleaned as she used that space for storage. I called Jose again after several weeks and he never returned my call. I ended up losing my phone which had his number in it. I googled and called the office. I spoke with Sandy who is the front desk lady. She said she will have Jose call me. He never did call. I called again a few weeks later and again the same thing. I ended up just giving up on it as it was frustrating. A few weeks ago, Sandy called me to see how everything was going and asked me if I had any projects that they can assist with. I told her the situation with the roof debri not being picked up and she said she will be seeing Jose later on in the afternoon and she will have him give me a call regarding this. The next day I received a call from someone other than Jose. He asked me to take pictures of the attic debri and send to him as he said they don't clean up in the attic. I told him that, I was told by Jose that he will come back and clean up the debri as it is a lot and in the past I have done a similar tear down roof and they came and cleaned up the attic without any hesitation. Also if they don't clean up their mess, am I supposed to hire someone else to clean up after them?? I paid them 16k for this tear down roof. What's the point of paying so much when I have to hire someone else to pick up after them. The guy on the phone was getting frustrated with me and I was getting frustrated with him as the call was going now where. He told me that he didn't like my attitude and hung up. I tried to call that number back to get his name but he didn't answer. I waited about a month now before writing this review to see if anyone from A & D will call me back to apologize and clean up the mess they left in the attic. This has not happened therefore I am writing this negative review. In the past I have used them for other jobs including windows and roof installation. I will not be using this company again due to their poor customer service. I have over 15 roofs in the Chicagoland area and I rather give my business to a company who stands by their word.
