Owner sold me a lemon with a check engine light that came on right off the lot. Had the diagnostic tool at home and had to replace the battery, alternator and catalytic converter costing $3,700. The man reset the check engine light right before we bought it.
Bought a 2013 police interceptor back in February and honestly I can't recommend buying any vehicles from state surplus. They did some seriously awful repairs. The bumper support was still smashed and they never fully repaired it and they just welded the bash bar to the support instead of bolting it as it should be. The worst thing that cost me a ton of money was the fact they used putty (JB weld) to attempt to repair the charge air cooler which was fractured to the point of no return. It needed a new charge air cooler you can't repair anything that is pressurized using putty this is something your backyard mechanic would do as a temporary fix. My A/C condenser had several holes in it which also had to be replaced despite the description saying the A/C worked properly. The day I bought the car not even 20 minutes later the air bag light comes on. Then I realized I had a nail in my left rear tire but I thought no worries it comes with a full sized spare! But to my surprise the spare had a huge puncture in it rendering it completely useless. Someone mounted that tire knowing it was no good and held no air. Shows how much they care about their customers. Lastly the title says 155,000 miles yet my odometer read 45,000 according to the owner this was the DMVs mistake but I find that very hard to believe. This place cuts corners and seems extremely sketchy. The only reason I'm not giving this 1 star is because the owner cut me a break on the price. I am lucky enough to work in a shop so I repaired these issues myself. I had to rip the entire front end apart to fix their shoddy repairs. I'd be looking at an easy $2,000 in a normal shop or dealership in parts and labor alone. Long story short these people cut corners to maximize profit and it's pretty evident that they could care less about their customer. Avoid this place and just go directly to auction if you want a cop car.
Mr. Yanuzzi and his crew were great to deal with. He is very patient..which I really appreciated. While i tried to figure how i was going to leave his fine establishment with my gorgeous 2012 Tahoe. Great experience all around. Thank you, Louis
Carmen and his staff will work with you to get you the best deal. Test drive all you want by yourself without a salesmen with you. Great family run business and down to earth folks. They will guild you in the right direction.
99% of the cars has been totaled and then fixed very bad, and they still have clean tittle. How is it possible? They just fix a car to look like perfect, but everything else is disaster and dangerous
