Fixed the wrong part then charged me far more than they quoted for the pleasure! Went from friendly to aggressive very quickly. Shame, as went due to the reviews on here. Will not use again.
I have no issues with the quality of workmanship at this garage and from the reviews there is a general level of customer satisfaction. However the reasons for marking down my recent experience at this garage are threefold. Firstly Ree Car do not publish details of their service schedules or provide a check sheet on the work done, only an invoice showing the parts used. Secondly, I was told on the phone that a full service schedule included the replacement of oil, air, pollen and fuel filters. However, it seems that Ree Car have a policy of only replacing filters "if necessary" on inspection according to their manager. Neither my pollen filter or fuel filter was replaced. They are both quite involved to get at to inspect. It therefore seems absurd not to replace them when the cost of the filters is peanuts compared to the cost of the labour to gain access to them. And thirdly, the price charges for their engine oil is very high. In my case it was a standard semi-synthetic 30W5 oil costing 9.50 + VAT a litre. This is more that twice what Hendy Ford charged me last year. Maybe it is a possible price in 1 litre cans but not from a bulk supply drum.
