I would give no stars. I dont understand how this is an emergency room if your emergency is basically on a wait time of over 5 hours. What a joke. Never again. Be warned.

The wait times at this hospital is horrendous. It should be illegal. As a medical professional, I do not understand why this facility is not innovative when it comes to 7-8 hour wait times in their emergency room. A suggestion: have two nurses and a provider provide care in the waiting area. Theres no reason why a provider cant assess and order diagnostic test such as imaging and lab work. You essentially wait in the waiting area to go to the main ER to wait again for diagnostics to be performed and result. This is sad. Very poorly ran ER for such a big booming city.
Thank you for such a kind recommendation, Vanessa! We've shared your message with the care team.

We are finally home....Last night my daughter han allergic reaction to the point that her air way was closing and if they had thrown some acid on her. Benadryl nor home remedies seemed to do it....She was needing Steroids and an Epinephrine Pen. Children's Hospital In Dallas was beyond amazing. Thank you for seeing us so quick. Thank you for treating us like family.

Last Friday, my seven-week-old daughter Maria was admitted to the ER for a very high fever. What I thought would be a quick visit to the ER ended up being a weekend stay in the hospital. I was not ready for that. However, the staff was always kind to me. I know they could feel my anxiety and worrisome about what was happening. I cried and asked a billion questions about every test they would perform on my daughter at ER. However, they all heard me patiently and answered my questions as many times as needed and with detail that I could understand without using medical jargon. Every nurse was sweet, gentle, and polite with my daughter and me. A special shout out to ER nurse Mckenzie (I don't remember her last name, but she was wearing a red headband, and I think she has short hair), ER Dr. Ken Yen, and ER technician Kameron, that offered his phone charger when I told him I was out of battery and I could not call my husband. We stayed in room C5270; again, all nurses were excellent, and the incredible Dr. Yarah Ghotmi was always reassuring with her words and positive energy. She paid attention to my worries about my daughter's health. I am very thankful for the entire team and very happy that my daughter is back at home
I hate working in this place as a black man. You can just feel the hate. Everyone is so stuck up and unnecessarily rude. Always leave in bad mood.
