I am very sorry you were upset by your partner's experience with us and we never want anyone to feel that way but masks are required in the Town and the staff are required by the Town of Brookline to ask people to put one on and wear it the whole time in our store. We have a sign on the door reminding people about this and we offer online shopping if you don't want to wear one but it's not fair to leave a one star simply because she was asked to wear a mask in a town that requires them.

Poor customer service. Rude staff. Would not recommend

Absolutely horrible. The front desk person was utterly rude to me as soon as I walked in. I am a newly expecting mom and I was hoping to buy some items to get excited. However, her nastiness made me walk out quickly and now I am crying in my car. If you want to be treated with respect, do not enter this store, especially you are pregnant.
Unethical and Condescending Yesterday I walked into this store. There was not a sign on the door about their mask policy (to their fairness, someone was currently window washing the door), the store clerk asked me to put a mask on and I IMMEDIATELY did. I am not from this city and did not know their rules but I followed them without hesitation. That should have been the end of it. Instead she went on a rampage about what I should do if I "ever enter that store again". I left crying shortly after. Again, I IMMEDIATELY RESPECTED THEIR POLICY. Then I left a Google review of my experience. The owner's response was to act as if I refused to put on a mask, telling me that I should have just shopped online instead, and stating that my review was unfair. If a customer walks into your store excited, follows your rules, and leaves crying, a one star review is more than fair. Either the store clerk or the "owner" are lying about the interaction instead of just giving a sincere apology. Just note, these people have now shown a precedent of lying and being unethical. Do you really want to buy your little loved one's clothes here? Children, especially baby fashion, should be nothing but happiness and excitement. Not making rule following pregnant women cry. The polite response would have been, "Thank you for following the city rules and our policy. Welcome to our store! How can we help you?"
