Agreed to buy a car in the Specials section. Paid a deposit, but was contacted the next day to say the car was no longer available. Contact at DtD was polite and apologetic (so 2 stars, not 1), but very disappointing nevertheless. Headline rates appear to draw people in, but I suggest potential buyers be very wary of this.
Terrible - confirm a deal and take a 1k deposit on a Thursday, then told 20:20 the following Monday, that in fact the car didn't exist and they couldn't honour the deal...
We used Drive the Deal for the first time earlier this year. The prices were great, there was no hard sell and no catch. The supplying dealer was not local, so we had to travel but they were absolutely fantastic. We wanted a factory order which took a few weeks of course, but they gave us very regular updates. Again, no hard sell, just first class customer service.
Dear Anil, Thank you for taking the time to review our service but I fear you may have missed the point...the dealers will rarely ever offer a customer a discount as big as ours if you go in to them direct! This is why people place an order with us and we place it with a dealer who will supply your car at the discount we have quoted. I can see that you did not place your order with us, giving us the opportunity to assist you. You didn't even enquire with us, you just took a quote from our website. Next time you purchase a car we'd like to encourage you to contact us and let us place your order for you. This way you get our saving. There are websites where we have hundreds of 5 star reviews, do read what the customers say who have used our service, you'll find it very reassuring. Kind regards, Richard Sanders Managing Director
