A clean contemporary decorated restaurant in Little Italy. The lighting was a little too dim for my half-century old eyes. Our server was nice and got our order quickly. Unfortunately, the food wasn't that great. We were hoping for rich and flavourful, but what we got was somewhat bland and underwhelming. If you're looking for true authentic Italian food, you'd be better off going to the Bronx or Brooklyn and trying an Italian restaurant there.
A bit lacking compared to the other Italian restaurants NYC has to offer. The service was stellar (came and checked on us often, made recommendations, etc.) but the food wasn't what we expected. The calamari seemed a bit old, the squid ink pasta had a lot of broken clam shells. Big portions though!
Attended a law school dinner at this location. Unlike the other establishments which have brightly lit signboards, this place does not and I got a bit lost trying to find it. I was immediately seated. The salad and calamari fries were good. I really loved the arancini. The ala vodka pasta was the best pasta. The cauliflower risotto and lamb ragu were not to my taste - I'm not saying they were bad - I'm not a fan of those dishes. For dessert the beignets were gooood. The server was very attentive and the setting was very good. I'd go there again.
Size and price good. Unfortunately I didnt like what I ordered, I have carbonara sauce everywhere I go and this one was so tasteless I had to order salt pepper and spices on the side to help it :(. Disappointed was expecting better taste, ambiance and waiter Alberto were AMAZING!!! :)
