I called and asked about exterior chimney repair. I got offered chimney cleaning and was asked for first and last name. When i said "I just need exterior repair , nothing else" , the person on the phone said " you know, i don't think we can give you an estimate" VERY STRANGE initial interaction.
TL;DR - Shady company, zero stars, would not recommend DO NOT USE - We called and scheduled a cleaning with them prior to a gas inset fireplace installation. The dispatcher said they could get us in prior to that day. I took off of work to be there for it, and they did not arrive. The only updates I got were when I called. They said they were not able to make it because the tech was having a technical issue. They rescheduled for the day before our install. I took off of work again, and they missed that window too. The company said they would be there before the appointment to do the cleaning. They actually did arrive the next day, but later than they said and after the fireplace installers arrived. Then he just left... did not say anything to anyone, just took off. He proceeded to block my phone number so I could not ask him why or what happened. This company did not take any payment from us, but the level of effort exhausted, the stress of managing them and the hours I took off for work are something I cannot get back.
So incredibly helpful! This level of personal service is really hard to find. He offered so much honest advice and help even though I was most likely not going to need his service. Who is that generous and honest now of days!?! Thank you! I hope youre treated the same way by others!
I had used Copperfield a couple times for sweeps with no problem. I needed some repair work on the grout and the person responded that he didnt want to work on my high chimney and and hung up without another word. Too bad because of previous positive experiences. Customer service needs some work.
