I ordered several shirts for my sister in laws gender reveal. The shirts were received timely, were great quality, and everything I asked for when placing my order. I sent my husband to pick up the shirts as I work standard business hours and wasnt able to get them myself. He paid the invoice and brought the shirts home. In October, five months later, I got a letter in the mail stating I owed a balance on my invoice. Confused as to how they could have let an order go out the door unpaid/partially paid, I called American Eagle. The woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude and practically accused me of stealing the shirts. She abruptly ended the call after stating American Eagle was taking me to court for the $96 balance. I called back and the same woman answered the phone and transferred me to a guy named Ray. I asked Ray how the shirts could have left their possession without being paid for? Ray was very polite throughout our conversation, however failed to give me a reasonable answer as to how my shirts were not paid in full at pick up. He continued tell explain that I owed American Eagle $96. At that time I was not able to locate the receipt provided to my husband at pick up and I paid the $96. A few weeks later I found the receipt and was shocked to see it was stamped paid and signed off by an American Eagle employee. I emailed Ray sending him a picture of the invoice as proof the shirts were originally paid for. Ray never responded to my email. I sent two additional follow up emails with no response. I have yet to be contacted by American Eagle to further discuss this issue. Although their brand represents quality, I recommend doing business with a competitive company in hopes of a better customer experience.
