This is the most shady place to buy a good used vehicle. I purchased a 1999 F 250 with a flat bed on Dec 2016. I did a fairly good inspection at the lot and was told by the owner that the truck was solid and mechanically sound I took his word for it and we agreed on a price. I then started on my 1 hour drive home 30 min. into it the serpentine belt broke. I barely made it home the next day I started a more in depth inspection. I found many dangerous defects: the flatbed was only held on by only ( 4) 3/8" bolts , the transmission bell housing was 80%broke off , the rear main seal was leaking bad, the transmission was leaking, the high pressure oil pump leaked, the ball joints were bad, the speedometer stopped working, the brakes needed replaced , and the alternator went out. This was his idea of a solid truck. I called the owner and informed him of the findings The owner David Smith said he would refund me $1250.00 for the repairs. That was in Jan 2017 it now been 3 months and after numerous conversations and broken promises I still have no refund and now when I call all I get is a voice recording. Do yourself a favor and stay away from these scandals.
My husband and I recently purchased a pickup from this dealer. He provided an Auto Check that was supposed to "be better than a car fax" and said that the pickup had been bought at an auction and was approved by a "post sale inspection" by a mechanic. The pickup was very nice and low miles, but we got it home and the next day the check engine light came on. We took it to Oreily and they said that the transmission was going out. We went through one more day then noticed that it had burnt 2 quarts of oil in 2 days. We then became suspicious. We took it to a mechanic and he told us that there was a hole in the piston and that the transmission was going out. He also told us that the tie rod was about to go out and did not advise that we drive it home in that condition. We called 6 D's Auto Sales right then and asked if there would be any way that he would take the pickup back and refund us secondary to the pickup being in that bad of shape. This dealer must not care about their reputation or their customers because the salesman told us that there was nothing he could do, "just take it to the auction or somethin to get your money back". We also asked for a copy of the "post sale inspection sheet" , but were told that he could not give it to us because it had "private dealer information" on it that he could not give out. It has been 10 days since we bought the pickup and the salesman continues to blow us off and is very rude. He will not even send our banker the title because it is "in the safe and he does not know the combination". He is blaming it on the owner being out of town and not being able to reach him..... They fixed up this pickup with a new flatbed and a new front end replacement before we bought it and shined the pickup up to be very appealing to the eye. We took this pickup to a dodge dealer and they told us the pickup was worth $9,000 when we have paid just shy of $20,000. The dealer is CROOKED and should not be allowed to do this to anyone else!!! Do NOT buy a car from these people they will lie and cheat you!
