The worst service i have experienced in my life we had a surgery appointment set up and they lied to us by saying we were next and they made us wait 6 hours long and no surgery started then we probably have to wait more time because they put another patient in first before us and no one ask or told us anything at all i don't recommend this hospital at all sorry but I'm tired of people's getting treated like this I'm at hospital s I'm writing this post
'Something' has dramatically changed at Alexian Bros over the last ~3 years - where my wife and I have been going to for medical care for nearly 40 years. Too many long delays in getting appointments, MANY Doctors who have 'retired' or left their practices and have been replaced with some rather uncaring physicians and PA's Simple Procedures that used to be performed in the Dr's office now tends to require separate X-rays and being treated as an outpatient. Everything smells of Corporate policy change that boosts the $$$ they get from insurance. The only fair thing to say is that these terrible changes are also occurring at other hospitals in the area as well.
We'd like to look into this. Would it be possible for you to reach out to us at N/A (Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm). Thank you! -Ascension Illinois Community Manager

I brought my sister to the ER this morning. They appeared to be severely understaffed, and lacking space. We arrived at 8:40am and waited in a very public line of chairs just to be checked in. They only had 1 triage nurse so the wait began. We had to share personal health issues with the check in person, right in line out in the waiting area, so everyone knew her name and what issues she was experiencing. Can we say HIPAA? Then we sat in the green chairs until the triage nurse was free. All around us were people throwing up in bags and moaning in pain. I saw people getting medicine administered to them in the waiting area, people went for X-rays and CTs and came right back to the waiting area. At about 10:45 (2hours in) a PA arrived to do more in depth triage. At 11:16, a group of people were called and we trailed a nurse as a group to the kiddie ER area, where they called out our names and pointed each patient to a room, turning lights on as we went. We finally got thru testing and treating by 2:45. On the way out, the ER was again spilling over with people. The only people I saw getting any urgent care was those brought in by ambulance - guess thats what well do next time.
