This place is a total joke, tried lying about my weight and cheating me out of 2100 lbs of scrap, 2100 lbs people. Don't waste your time, these people are trying to pull a fast one. I know hundreds of scrapers and will be sure to warn them of this phony yard. There scales are totally off. This joint should be shut down for good, never again AMR.

Casey I believe you are a bit confused. We purchase from the public but We do not sell metal to the public. There are however plenty of supply houses like metal supermarkets that would love to have your business. I looked this morning though and it appears 1qty 36 piece of 1/8 flat bar is somewhere around 37$/lb. Hope you are able to find what your looking for somewhere else.

I came to aurora metal to buy some copper to make some bracelets for my granddaughters.Im a copper Smith from Washington state.So first they tried to change me 7.00 a pound. Twice the going rate and then I call him on it then he said he couldn't sale to me I drove out of my way to perches copper sorry no sale

I never give reviews but I have to do it because I need to give props where it is deserved. I have to give a good review because Aurora has provided great service to my workers when they buy and sell; however, unfortunately lately I feel they have been less organized and consistent on Saturdays without their best worker Carlos. He really knows his products and runs that company. I will continue to send my guys as long as he is there, even if it's ONLY Mondays-Fridays. Give that man a raise, Aurora Metal Recycling would be lost without him!!!

Greg, Its unfortunate that you feel we have earned a 1-star review. It has been brought to my attention that you have a schedule that requires us to operate outside of normal business hours in order to accommodate. Give us a call if you'd like to iron this out. 630-538-6544 update: Still never got a call from "greg" to iron out the situation. From another review of the email chain. You were under the impression that we pick up cars till midnight. After explaining what looks to be 4 emails with the same response, you assumed we could do a pick up for a certain time, that we repeatedly told you was not possible. When we left the phone number we were looking to try an accommodate since you did not reach out and instead chose to update your review. We decided to let everyone know again we did all we could. I have to believe any rational person can see you are unable to be satisfied no matter the expenditure of effort. Good luck to you!

Edit : for anyone curious i did not hear from them today which is a shame I was honestly hoping to hear from them today. Op : Thats not quite entirely true. I was told when you could pick up the car which was fine. I had then given numerous days and times which would work for me. I work nights and can understand if my schedule doesn't fit yours. After no response I sent one last email asking for clarification or if I needed to go elsewhere. I then received an email simply stating "no problem I will go ahead and cancel your request" with zero effort to make any other suggestions or to explain why my schedule doesn't work with yours. It was only after this review and several emails trying to figure it out that I got any kind of explanation. I had even said I was free all afternoon Wednesday. So how about this....wanna make it right? You have my information and know I'm free Wednesday. Let me know
