This company responds promptly and has good customer service. I would have made it 5 stars but their rental agreement reclassifies too many items as rent (in violation of law) and also non-specifically attempts to cost-shift repairs onto tenant. Usually landlords reclassify items as rent to exploit the "summary eviction for nonpayment of rent" mechanism, but they at least didn't do this and set a contested charge aside. This is remarkable.
We're are in a business responsible for protecting our clients assets and do have a in-depth application process. We do not feel that requiring proof of income & valid rental history information is unreasonable. Our application is available for review online so there are no surprises on what we need and how we determine if an application is approved or declined. Properties that we put on the rental market are put through a quality turn over process. It's my hope, as a business owner, that readers of your review would question why anyone would desire to apply for a property that was truly dirty & in disrepair. Although New West may not be the best fit for what you need in a landlord, we're certain you will find a landlord that you can have a great relationship with.

Application process unreasonable. Gotta jump though a million unreasonable hoops. Office staff doesnt have a clue what theyre doing. Was given the wrong form and asked for pay stubs from a place I dont even work anymore. Luckily we were able to back out of this before paying. We are excellent applicants with stable jobs and great rental history. This company was difficult to work with. The house wasnt even cleaned, things were broken, and its been on the market forever. I cant imagine this disorganized company being my property manager. So glad we backed out before giving them a dime.
They have been open and honest with me from start to finish. Customer service was on point while they helped me gather all my materials for my rental application. Very satisfied with the condition of my new home, and continued to be thankful of the communication and check ins.
2019 Update I signed a 1 year lease with NWPM... a month later I get a message from Jessica saying the landlord decided to void the signed contract because he planned to sell in the spring... it was mid-August at this time and I had already paid my rent in full with the new amount... October 1st I was given a 30 day notice to vacate. Don't trust this company! I moved in to a house that had rat droppings under the stove and dishwasher. The dryer was disgusting and they refused to clean it. There were also stains on the carpet and drapes.
