Thank you for your assessment of the appointment. Yes she did call the day of the appt, Sat morning. She wanted ashy highlights on brown hair, said her hair was not too dark. Ok, good, should lift relatively quickly as not too dark-I responded back on the phone. Likely, 3.5 hours..I asked if she can come in soon, I had an appt and needed to leave at 3 pm as I dont like to be stressed out about my day either and like to have a breather in between. 10:30 am was the time she wanted to do it, not as early as I suggested but still should be fine as hair was brown, not too dark. When I accessed the hair, it was a level 3, black hair, darker than my own base color as Im a 4. Perhaps here, I could have told her it would take longer but I did not say that. I work pretty quickly as Ive been a celebrity Stylist for 20 years in Los Angeles, recently moved to Florida. She indicated she loved the haircut. The 2nd portion, the foils did take time to lift to get her light enough to be a ashy brown, so had to be lifted void of red or any orange which leaves yellow under pigment, the correct under pigment for her requested color-ashy brown. I let her know I will not be able to dry her hair for the time the lifting took. I spent my focus and hours of my time exclusively on her and comped a bonding treatment in her formula that keeps her hair healthy. My rate is standard for the area, no higher nor lower. Im thinking to increase my price. Yes, true I placed a toner on her which could have been darker, true, she did leave with wet hair which I understand she is not happy about. I texted her that I stand by my work and would be able to either do a darker toner or she would have a credit for that potion of the toner for Im not happy when she isnt either but as a hair stylist, I have a life too. I made a previous appointment which I was clear about prior to her late morning arrival with a dark black regrowth not brown as she stated. I strive to give clients my all when they are in my chair, I cannot control the timing when the base color is not as described nor can I renege on my previous commitment at 3 pm because someone wants a same day process at her time zone/time frame rather than coming in the time i suggested for I prefer to be prepared for surprises such as the above. Im not able to have time move slower or move the process faster, I had to leave at 3 pm. The credit of the toner I already offered as a credit but correct, my haircut and highlight process is not, I put in the time and got her to the correct level which is the extensive and tricky part of hair coloring. She was lifted to the perfect undertone, the long haul of coloring to achieve a simple ash brown toner easily. She loved the cut, I was informed at the time. She was never charged a blowdry. The credit for the toner, I can send by post, let me know.

Summary: My significant other (S.O.) and I had a bad experience with Daisy. Daisy did not provide the level of service we expected; she was rude and unprofessional when confronted about her quality of work. No refund was given, at all. S.O. wanted to get her hair trimmed and get slight highlights. She chose Daisy at the recommendation of a friend. S.O. has really dark brown, almost black hair, and wanted medium brown highlights. After 5+ hours of Daisy working, S.O. came out with blotchy, bright, blonde highlights. S.O. was not pleased, and so Daisy hastily darkened her hair. Unfortunately, S.O. had to leave because Daisy had some sort of afternoon engagement that was more important than properly finishing up her work. S.O. was reassured that the color would be correct after a blow dry, but left us to figure things out on our own, after securing her payment. Daisy charged fairly for the products used, but exorbitantly for the labor. Given that she didn't bother finishing her work, triple digit pricing seemed high. Again, she reassured S.O. that the color would be correct. I drop off S.O. at her regular salon, and they are horrified. They do what they can and are able to recover from what Daisy had done. When S.O. called Daisy about the work she did and the possibility of a refund, Daisy started yelling at her over the phone. I would not recommend having hair done with Daisy. Especially if you want your hair done your way, and not her way. If you like to have a hair stylist decide what you should get for you, then Daisy might be good for you. However, even with this caveat I cannot recommend her due to high pricing, low quality of work and unprofessionalism in face of a complaint.
When people ask, I'm direct- No I haven't and not planning on it. You voiced your opinion on our phone call but thanks again for your repeated advice here however I've already been exposed to it so I'm immune. I have not worn a mask for quite some time and don't plan on it. People choose, the way it should be. I'm good with that.

Daisy discriminates against vaccinated people because she is afraid we are shedding. She refused to make a hair cut appointment because we were vaccinated even I suggested we all wear masks. Will not be recommending her specially as she tried to give me her unwanted opinion on something she admitted has very little knowledge of. You are putting your customers at risk. Please educate yourself and stay safe.
Your Hair Delight Makes My Day Bright. Thank you for the opportunity to be creative with you Carol and look forward!

By far the best hairstylist I have been to in 20 years! Daisy will educate you, take the time to find out what you want and whats right for you, and then make it happen!
Not familiar with a Betty Boop nor is anyone I do services on surprised by my rates, for my policy is more information, not less prior to performing services. My haircuts for men are 25, women 45-75. Color is 65-145. My cuts and color are known to flow and grow out well, negating another haircut around the corner anytime soon, saving that cost and time for the client. Well executed cuts last. Its not a fast chain price list but it is the going rate for the Tampa Bay area. What did you conclude was outrageous pricing? Currently installed is a salon shampoo sink and Fl is a business friendly state, a liscensed business is not an issue as displayed. Before I perform services, my exact rate is on the table, Ive been accused of being thorough more than once. Everything possible on my side to insure a satisfactory result as I specialize in two areas-cut and color for all my experience and regular education since 1996, more than 20 years is a color and cut specialist exclusively. Prior to Florida, did celebrity hair in Los Angeles, private house calls in Malibu California. I was a hair and make up person for Elite Models, New Faces Division on location. The skill set is with the stylist, hair has been done in a guest cottage, on a photography set and on a site in a RV. Each person in my chair is aware that my work comes with a 7 day guarantee that accompanies the original appointment and rate paid-I stand by my services to strive for the best cut and color of your life and my rates being equal to local Tampa Bay stylist. Sorry you had to vent on Google verses handling what your dilemma with me. Did I even do your hair Betty Boop? A complete consultation with pricing in always while and complete, before I begin. my work space by the bay window, the rate was provided and my work space was visible. If the price was more than you wanted, we didnt need to proceed, it happens, some continue to interview other stylist, I dont mind. In Los Angeles, my rate was $125 a cut so its all relative. A stylist across from me was $175. If you felt my rate of 45 to 75 was too high, declining services is allowed. Sorry, you felt my rate was too pricey after you received services. I get that you feel it was not fair to you and I strive to make those in my chair happy. You are welcome to come in for a fresh dry cut, then you can be upset with me in person and Ill listen to what you want to say, I wont mind, I will still do a good job on your hair and you wont need to be upset with the price as with a second comp cut, you would have more value for what you paid, Im happy to do that so you are complete with our interaction.

She charges outrageous prices for what you get, this is not your typical hair salon, she will wash your hair in her kitchen, not to mention you will be in a super uncomfortable position, my jaw dropped when she told me the price, Im used to spend money on my hair but I wasnt expecting for her to do my hair by her kitchen!! BE AWARE! Update: Ive seen the other response you gave the other client and the unfortunate experience his SO had to go through, theres no need to keep on threatening that you are going to increase your prices, Ive gone to real hair salons and I have been charged the same amount of money you charge for a haircut, 50 dollars and my hair was washed in your kitchen sink, you keep on saying that you are a celebrity hair stylist yet your response lacks of professionalism. Have a great day Why do you keep editing your replies? I called you out on your lack of professionalism and now half of your reply is gone, as far as I know client is always right, my complaint was about your outrageous prices, you charge about the same if not more than a hair salon, and Im not talking any hair salon, however you keep on talking about something else, CLIENTS BEWARE!
