Completely disappointed in Quicken. Last November I decided to buy Quicken and stop using the archaic register system I had been using. The version I purchased at the time was the newest version purchased directly through Quicken. Several of the features I was sold never worked. I spend two days with Quicken support before being told it was a glitch on the mobile side and they would fix it. THEY NEVER DID! In February (3 Months later) they came out with Quicken 2017 which advertised the fixes to many bugs. I dropped another $44.99 on it to make the items I purchased Quicken for work. Not only do they not work but now I cant download my statements. In short, Quicken doesn't do what they sell it to do.
My husband passed away 3/5/20. Quicken bill pay will not stop sending out checks to the people he set up payments for even after his death. They refuse to help and they are very rude. They have no compassion for a grieving widow. They are the most horrible people I have ever spoke to. I have acquired numerous late charges for non sufficient funds.
Quicken has been going through growing pains for the last year trying to develop a mobile app. Pro and cons are all part of the experience. In my opinion. Quicken doesn't function near as well as it did in years past. Get on the community site to read the Community Posts and decide for yourself. It's convenient and thorough, but I've spent a lot of time fixing problems also.
