STAY AWAY!!! Make sure you read my whole summary, THE END IS VERY IMPORTANT!!! First off I had them create my website since they said the can create it to better suit SEO purposes, so I let them, which took forever. My website is quite simple, so be honest, I felt as if they had too much going on and couldn't keep track of what I wanted. Also, I dealt with tons of different people, first this guy was my man, then it was changed to that guy, then that guy is no longer with the company so it was someone else... I never had any clear lines of communication. On to the SEO itself. I was very very upset on the SEO. I literally have 1 competitor online... just one in a very small unknown market. It should be easy to rank me, now don't get me wrong, I didn't expect #1 rank in just a few months, but I saw nothing. When I asked them what they specifically did, to help my rank, they had no answer! I again felt as if they saw me as an easy project and tried to stretch it out. Initially I had my business offer 3 categories, but I wanted them to only focus on two, but they focused on all 3 and listed how good the 3rd one (that I didn't currently offer) was doing which was a little upsetting. Then I realized that the second option I offered was too complicated for me at that time so I asked them to stop their SEO for option 2 as well and just focus on the first service. They were doing SEO work again for all 3 options which was frustrating... they could have put their "effort" that they put in the second and third service I offered all into the first service, I might have gotten better ranking. There is all kinds of little stuff I could write about for hours, but something I just found out, almost a year later that prompted this review is when they coded my website, they coded it in a way where only they can edit it!!! This means that I can't work on it myself, and neither can any other company!! They would have to completely re-do my site! So SEOP will make your website in a way where they are the only person who can edit it so you are forced to work with them!

I dont know if my project manager, Steve, was gunning for a promotion when he and I worked together, but treated my website and brand as if he was my own marketing manager. Its good to see that people still have that kind of work ethic today.

We've had a tough couple of years with the business before we decided to hire SEOP. I wish we have known sooner that could help us manage content for our sites. We would have hired them right from the start and saved ourselves years of figuring out which information goes where. It's still a long process of content management but at least everything's much more organized.
