On top of all that, you get a warranty for your frames and your prescription. As you can see there is a huge difference of buying your glasses from a brick and mortar, family owned small business and buying your glasses online. Dr. Weiss did a great job with my eye exam. He was thorough and answered all my questions. However, when it came time to look at purchasing glasses things took a turn from a professional doctor visit to a sales game. I don't remember who was trying to sell me glasses, but he had a pony tail. He was ok at first, he measured my pupil distance because I was considering getting new frames and he answered my questions. But then I asked if they could just put lenses in my existing frames. His demeanor changed at this point. When he showed me the pricing for sunglass lenses only, they wanted to charge me $175 bucks, plus this and plus that. I know you can get fair pricing online so I left. I then discovered I forgot to ask him what my pupil distance was as I needed that info to buy the right sized frames online. Now keep in mind I paid for an eye exam. The performed the PD measurement I would think they would gladly give me my PD measurement if I requested it. I went back to ask if he could tell me the measurement, as I forgot to ask for it previously. He first told me he didn't do one. I explained he did and pointed out the apparatus he used. Then he said I didn't write it down. So, I asked if he could do it again for me. He then said those measurements are for his records? Meanining I could not use he valuable information because I wanted to shop around for glasses online? I am a paying customer regardless if I was going to buy their overpriced glasses or not. The PD measurement takes very little effort and time to do. I then asked again if he was willing to do another measurement and he replied in a very rude tone... NO. Instead of losing my temper, I walked out. As I was walking out he reiterated that those measurements are for his records. What a joke. So lesson learned. If you don't spend double the price for glasses from them and you paid for an eye exam at their establishment, don't expect any any further assistance. I found the same lenses with frames online for $80 bucks and World of Vision was trying to charge around $200 for sunglass lenses only. They can keep their valuable information and I will never return and will tell all my friends family and coworkers never to enter your establishment. I am sorry Dr. Weiss. But, maybe you can talk some sense into your sales staff. I would have gladly referred you for eye exams, but I don't want to subject anyone to your sales staff.
