I purchased glasses here 6 months ago $500+ and one nose piece broke. I made a appointment to get lens put in. I had to go online and purchase the exact same frames to put the same lens in. The lens were the expensive part. At my appointment I was told the frames were defective and that they could not put the lens in. I walked down the street a few blocks and dropped into a Site for Sore eyes and they put them in for $20 and it took about 30 minutes tops. I think Oakland Vision just wanted me to buy new frames (+ lens). When I called in I had a terrible time explaining I just needed lens put in without them outing in a order for $600+ for replacements.
We were really loyal to this office for years but my partner paid and ordered glasses from them last year and was unable to use them. He went back to the office twice to complain and it was only the third time, after he confirmed with another eye doctor that the pupillary distance was incorrect that they acknowledged the problem and agreed to fix it and mail it to us. We were happy with this fix (even if we had to pay $200 for an updated RX) until we received the lenses wrapped up in one piece of tissue, broken in the mail.
Dr Gill and staff are the very best at what they do. They are well informed, customer experience focused, and make me feel welcome. I value their expertise and care.

. The doctor was very nice and helpful. However when we decided not to get a frame/lens from store side the host guy left us without any word or greetings.
