Customer service is awful. I called after a week waiting for delivery. They were hung up on saying they get 7 business days to deliver and that is all they were worried about. They came on day 10. Last year they didn't show up and I had to go and buy kerosene to put in the tank when it was about 2 degrees last January. The drivers are nice but short-staffed. So, to rectify the problem I signed up for automatic refills. Tank almost empty today, called and found out that the supervisor I talked to didn''t get the paperwork through. I am going out to purchase space heaters, and extra kerosene, since I have no faith in this company. This weekend is going to be frigid. But my anger towards Quarles will shoot up my blood pressure which will help keep me warm.
My tank is at 25% so I called to see if I was on the schedule for delivery. I was not. My last delivery was July2021. The lady asked if I wanted to be put on the list for delivery and I said, Yes, please. She said it would be 10-14 days. I told her I would be out of gas by then and she said she couldnt speed up my delivery because of a driver shortage and the time of year. I told her if she let me run out of gas, I would not be a Quarles customer next year. Her response was, Okay. I said, So, you dont care if Im a Quarles customer next year? She said they care but she cant speed up my delivery. No apologies or attempts to make me a happy customer. I can only deduce from her lackadaisical response that my business is not important to Quarles. I could deal with their driver shortage if they could at least pretend they care if I run out of gas or remain a Quarles customer. She didnt really care.
We have been Quarles (propane) customers for many years. We have never had a single bad experience. We call when our tank is about 25-30% and just let them know whenever they have a truck in our area, to please include us on their route and they are here in a few days. We never wait until it's an emergency, but still, they come quickly and the drivers are always courteous. I do not write reviews often, but I feel this one was worth doing. I hope the service continues to be the way it has been for us in the past.
It was a very pleasant experience signing up with Quarles. Alex was very nice and offered excellent customer service while we were on the phone. She was very informative and quite personable, which goes a long way for me. I look forward to many years of dealing with them.
