Im starting to dislike parmele because I've been not working since 2015 n I have severe asthma n I have rods in my neck n not on any pain meds and I should have been approved. I walk like an old lady n can't cook because I forget n walk away n that's dangerous. Ugh I'm not happy

I cannot say enough bad things about them. I worked all my life, and then for the last ten years I did home health care for my elderly parents, which was a 24/7 live-with situation. I have enough ss credits to be able to retire. At the time I seen them, i was 30 min early and everybody wanted to go to lunch, but they decided to hurriedly see me. I was told that since I had not worked in the last 10yrs, that I did not qualify to even be able to apply for disability (i have a leg that is crushed below the knee making it almost impossible to walk the older i get) I was told that I couldn't even apply for Medicare, since I didn't have any medical insurance prior to 10yrs ago when working. I was told that those retirement credits that i had already earned would be dropping off my ss records and that if i didn't go back to work, when i reached retirement age, i would have no ss retirement! I was told that in order to even be able to apply for disability that I had to go back to work for at least 5yrs, and then I could apply! I have no income, food stamps are keeping me from starving. This news made me just give up, and give up on everything, since both of my parents had recently passed. And the lady that talked to me said she knew what she was talking about, because she used to work for ss for over 15yrs! I would not recommend even talking to these people. They're not even from ks, but their hq is in st louis, mo!! So be warned and good luck people..... I'm gonna go play in traffic!
