Ordered on a sunday, monday was a holiday which I didn't realize. Contacted them, they said it would be sent out tuesday. Well they never sent it until friday. So first and last time I order from them. Fragrancex is faster.
Had a bad experience with MaxAroma. I ordered a perfume. They were significantly delayed with delivery date. I contact them. The business responded with a lame excuse blaming it on the holidays. My ordered was placed in November not in December so the holiday delay excuse does not make sense. I contacted them again and this time I was told it was UPS's fault. I do not recommend this business and will never purchase any items from them again no matter how much discount I can get.

Our business card was compromised and there was a fraudulent charge of more than $700 worth of perfume from Maxaroma. Let the nightmare commence, was told the tracking number of said fraudulent package. After days of tracking we were able to intercept the package and return to sender to get a refund. Throughout this whole ordeal I contacted James Aref numerous times. Once the package was delivered back to them I contacted James to start the process of getting our refund. Only then was I told that there were two packages each worth half the amount that was charged and were shipped on the same day to a vacant home in Norfolk, Virginia, one via UPS and the other USPS. Smells a bit like this company is in on this scam. James said he would look into the other package and contact UPS and then the following day reach out to me. Well the next day there was no contact from James so we reached out to him again at Maxaroma, was told he was out of town.... and the refund was expedited... days later nothing has posted. Now no one from Maxaroma will answer our calls or our emails. We have proof that at least half of the order was returned, not to mention we should have been told that there was another package shipped so we could get that one intercepted as well. We have filed claims and contacted UPS, USPIS, FBI, Norfolk Police Department, NYPD, and BBB regarding, a scam, fraudulent use of a debit card, fraudulent packages, and identity theft, majority being federal crimes. After digging deeper there is numerous reports of this happening to other innocent people and businesses, dealing with Maxaroma and James Aref in particular. This company seems to be not legit and there is no wonder why it has changed names in the past. If someone can prove that an order is fraudulent, most companies do their best to alleviate the problem and will issue a refund for a fraudulent order that was returned to them, but then again this so company seems in on this scam and karma will catch up to them. Buyers beware and if you fall victim to this scam please report them as well and be aware they will reach out after a review is posted and harass and attempt to black mail.
