I will not be going here again and won't miss 'em. They charged me a ludicrous "fitting fee" for providing contact lenses that I've worn for over 15 years. $65! They're also far more expensive than any others, like America's Best, etc. They do not return phone calls when I attempted to get my prescription. Found a new optometrist that actually provides good service.
The people here are rude, inconsiderate and totally focused on the bottom line, not the customer. The owner refused to accept my insurance (they are an in-network provider) even when i provided written documentation for the coverage. The employees are odd, socially awkward and don't seem aware (i hope) that they are putting people off by their rude demeanor and insensitivity to the customer. These are not people who should be in the customer service business - none of them. I made a mistake by going back here after my first terrible experience - don't bother going.
Jesse was courteous, prompt, knowledgeable and extremely helpful in helping my wife and I with our glasses. I needed to have all of the joints repaired on mine as they were literally falling apart. I didn't even purchase the glasses here and Jesse still had no problem with helping me. He finished very quickly and also tightened my wife's glasses even faster. We were in and out of there in no time thanks to Jesse. Give this guy a business card!
I have been coming here since middle school because my mom knew Dr Hutson in college. Its where I got my first pair of contact lenses. Even though I live in Georgetown and am 38yrs old now I wouldnt go anywhere else. They have beautiful frames the worlds best customer service. If you accidentally bend your glasses they will work with you till they fit perfectly. I bough clear frames and you can come in anytime for them to take the lenses apart and clean the crevices and grooves. I lived abroad in a third world country for several years and even though my previous prescription was >1 year old they still sent it to me electronically so I could get new contacts because I didnt trust the prescription I got from a doctor in that country. Best vision center in the greater Austin area.
My mother (88) paid for transitional lenses that we were charged for and after discovering that the lenses were not transition type lenses we asked for the problem to be corrected and the only thing that the store would offer us was a refund for the charge for the transition treatment. So we are going to have to pay for new lenses again. We will go somewhere else that will correct their mistakes.
