Ryan, thank you for your comments. Good or bad reviews - we learn from them all. I will address this situation. You are correct, communication is the key to success and that will be addressed with your loan officer. Thank you again

I'm giving this company a generous two stars because the loan originator finally became honest in the end. There was also night that she talked to me after business hours. Other than that, this was one of the most unprofessional and frustrating experiences I can possibly imagine. From the initial conversation in determining our eligibility for a VA loan, we laid every piece of our financial information on the table - including concerns that I had regarding a specific debt I had that I anticipating being a concern. I was specifically told on multiple occasions that arrangements could be made and my debt wasn't a factor at all. I was also told other pieces of innacurate information such as: four people are allowed to sign on a VA mortgage and that that wasn't possible for us to be denied a VA loan. She confidently encouraged us to plan our next moves based on this information. We began to proceed with our realator and let our current landlord know that we wouldn't be renewing the lease. As time progressed, concerns from my realator had arose and he convinced me to get a second opinion. I did and, out of respect, I informed Ronnie of my action. I also gave Ronnie my updated tax figures over the phone. She didn't like the idea of having another mortgage company involved. She sent me a $400,000 pre-qualification letter in less than an hour of speaking with her. This was twice as much as she originally stated based on the same income. My second opinion informed me that only two people can be on a VA mortgage and the particular debt I have disqualified me from getting a VA mortgage. When I asked Ronnie again, I couldn't get a straight answer. At this point, I suspected that her pre-qualification letters were about as valuable as screen doors on a submarine. I told her many times that we have a deadline now and I would like to push this as far as possible to ensure that we wouldn't be denied at the last second. She told me that her manager and underwriting had already looked at everything before she issued the letter but told me not to put an offer on a house yet. For close to an additional month, we were in limbo "waiting for final underwriting feedback". Her responses for me during this time were very vague except for not making an offer. I had my fill of not having the information or phone calls returned by the promised time so I decided to go to the office in person. While on the road, I received the more honest call I was looking for. She didn't take a lot of responsibility in the way that she made empty promises but she did at least come clean with the current situation - my concerns were valid from the beginning. I never asked for the moon and stars, just reliable information. If I would have received it from the beginning, I wouldn't be facing the current risk of not sheltering my family due to poor planning.
Sharvonne, thank you so much. We truly appreciate you and the opportunity to work with you!

GVC Mortgage was fantastic throughout the entire mortgage process. Susanne Whitsitt was my contact and she was always available to answer questions or tell me what was needed. Never had to wait long for an answer and she helped out in anything I needed. Would definitely recommend GVC Mortgage to anyone!
