Northpoint worked on 3 of my cars, one of them being a full restoration. The work on the first two, in my opinion, was deficient and both cars incurred damage while in their possession. The restoration, in my opinion, was a complete disaster with the car being worse in many respects. This was substantiated by two high end restoration shops and a classic car expert knowledgeable with the year/make of this vehicle. Unfortunately, I had to commence legal action against them to recover damages for all three cars. I also filed NYS DMV complaints against them for each car. DMV does not investigate a complaint unless they feel there is credence to the allegations and does not issue violations, that are applicable to the complaints, until after an extensive investigation. After such an investigation the DMV has charged Northpoint with 17 violations of New York Vehicle and Traffic Law/New York Motor Vehicle Repair Shop Regulations for all three cars in total. Some of these violations are, including but limited to, failure to provide quality repairs (all 3 cars!); gross overcharging (2 cars); failure to provide written estimate (2 cars); preformed unauthorized repairs (2 cars); failure to provide invoice (2 cars); failure to provide DMV access to shop records (3 cars). This will now go to an administrative hearing which could have serious repercussions. Suffice it to say, I have two classic auto shops, a classic auto expert and DMV (a neutral party) who all concur. After this experience, in my opinion, their quality of workmanship and business ethics have greatly decreased.

Due to this experience, in my opinion, I believe the quality of their work and their business ethics have greatly decreased. Perhaps they should focus more on quality and less on volume.
Thank you, glad we could help! Enjoy the car and if you ever need anything else, you know where to find us. Safe driving!

Northpoint Restorations is THE pLace to go for work on your vehicLe. ANY vehicLe!! I took in my 62 Biscayne for Light bodywork and new rims. I cant say enough about Marc and Gerard. Those guys are beyond amazing!! They not onLy took care of my car, but Marc went above and beyond on ordering the rims and tires as it was a rare offset and quite tricky. Gerards body and paintwork are exceptionaL. I decided to go with a power steering unit and aLthough Northpoint doesnt take on those types of projects, Marc found a pLace and took care of that transaction as well. Cherry on the Sundae, when the bill came, more than fair!! All in aLL, Northpoint Restorations is the one stop pLace to go for your Automotive project needs. These guys are extreme professionaLs and treat everyday peopLe Like theyre CeLebrities. A++++++++++++
I have been working with the guys at Northpoint for years.... they have taken care of my small projects right up to building me a national award winning 1967 Oldsmobile 442. An amazing team of craftsmen lead by good guys that always take care of their customers and always go the extra mile to make sure that your needs are satisfied.
Kevin, our shop is extremely busy with collision claims and that is our primary business. Unfortunately, we have a waitlist for specialty repair work and you were told that your car could probably be worked on in August. We cannot give you a firm date because we are working on other projects that were ahead you. If I took your car in and it sat here untouched, you would have been even more upset. Sorry that my honesty makes me and the shop a bunch of "jokers". At this point we have not collected any money for a deposit or have ever worked on any of your vehicles, so writing a negative review is a bit premature. Also, your combative and argumentative tone over the phone does not make us a good fit to conduct any business going forward.

I was given the runaround for ~2 months in regards to having my car serviced. Eventually the owner, Mark, was honest and upfront about all the delays. This did not stop him from stringing me along for weeks seeing as he knew my car would never be serviced anywhere near a timely fashion. Don't waste your time with these jokers. They will string you along and lie to you for absolutely no reason. Then they will question you when you tell them they've disrespected you by wasting your time week over week for almost 2 months. Edited in response to joker: My combative tone only came after you gave me a quoted time frame for service 2 months prior (last week of July you personally told me). Then, we chat yesterday and you not only tell me you've been misleading me for weeks, you have ZERO idea when my car can be serviced. As I said your shop is a joke. Learn how to manage client expectations better instead of stringing them along for your convenience. Not only that, you have been reported to the DMV and sited for multiple infractions. The fact someone had to escalate your shop to the state is comical.
