Good for an intro paddle. Back bay is a bit stinky. They don't hold on your car key but to your ID and credit card.

Unfortunately some of your claims are just not true. We ARE following all stated city and state guidelines. You are correct that we use paper and pen waivers, however, you CAN print and sign the waiver from the comfort of your own home as well, online waivers are available. We also have 2 (TWO) bathroom areas steps from our beach with sinks and soap. We also disinfect paddles, kayak seats and life jackets after EVERY USE! And how does hand sanitizer look dirty? Just a question. We hope to see you again soon when this virus has been solved. We appreciate your business and patience as we deal with this as well. We have families and lives we still need to support too.

During these uncertain times, I was hoping that since the business was open during quarantine, they would have some COVID-19 measures. None of the workers wore any mask nor did they follow any social distancing. You still have to sign a paper waiver with pens that everyone touches, even tho that can be easily avoided by having a waiver online like most companies. I also did not see a single person disinfect anything. I don't think they have any disinfectants for the equipment that they're renting. Not only that, but I was really hoping that they will be disinfecting the equipment that they're renting in between uses. The only thing they had was a dirty looking hand sanitizer over the counter. There are no restrooms or anywhere to wash your hand near the shop, the only thing they had was a hose in the back with no soap. I think the location is nice, the people were friendly and the prices were fair, so I will come back maybe next year, but for now, I will be renting elsewhere. Update based on the owner's response. 04/20/21 I stand by what I said. Most employees were not wearing masks and were keeping their distance with each other or the customers. I did not take pictures to prove it, but I have no motive to lie. I hope other customers can back me up as well. About the waver, I had no idea that you can print your own waver at home. On regards to the restrooms, I asked the lady at the front if there were an area where I could wash my hands that she said that there was a hose in the back, otherwise, I would have not known that it was there in the first place, she never mentioned anything about any restrooms with soap. In fast, I believe my husband even asked for a restroom because he was peeing his pants, and he was told there wasn't any available. I'm not sure what happened there. I also notice that they had "pumps" that I had not seen before, I'm assuming that there were to disinfect, but I never saw anybody disinfecting anything after returning the items. The pups were just sitting there. A hand sanitizer looks dirty because you can see that the bottle is old, it has been refilled numerous times, the pump looked brownish. Just wipe the bottle after you refill it. I looked nasty. Anyone else visiting this place, take a look at the bottle and see for your self, maybe it has been replaced since I place my review. If it's not, kindly, share a pic with the Google audience. I little attention to detail would be appreciated. My final note is that maybe the intention to keep this shop clean is there, however is not being followed. I gain nothing by giving a bad rep to a company and I have no intention at all to hurt anyone's business, however, I do feel the need to share this information to other's who might be looking for a place where they feel comfortable visiting. After this unprofessional response by the owner, I have no intention to visit this place again. I enjoyed the beach, but there are other shops in the same area.

First time paddle boarding and this place was fantastic. My husband and I parked In Newport dunes (make a right and go all the way to the boat yard and park before it) follow the signs. The staff was young and super friendly. Everyone wore a mask. They disinfected the SUP in front of us and measured us for the paddle. Also this place is away from the craziness of Moes beach rental which had limited inventory and a line. Pirates is already a head start into the marina area. An hour and a half is all you need and a $3 locker rental. For two people $44. Very impressed with price, customer service, and overall it was a beautiful afternoon. We will deff come back and plan to go out even further. Thank you
