Steven was great to work with and really had a good grasp of the details of my family law case, but with a super aggressive opposing party, I don't feel that Steven is in the right element in family court. If you are in an immigration or criminal case, or if you have a family court case and are not dealing with a super litigious, agressive x-wife, then I think Steven is the perfect lawyer for you. Unfortunately I was in such a case. The trouble was that in court he did not strongly push the facts supporting the case, and was very quick to agree to things in closed chambers with the judge without properly running it by his client first. These closed chambered meetings that were not recorded with the judge and opposing counsel led to over a years worth of fighting on discovery issues due of a conflicting view of what was decided, and my opposition to what was agreed on. Steven is great with communication and is good at working with his client, but seems too flexible and hesitant to speak up in court in ways that might upset the judge or the opposing counsel. I think this might be the way to go in criminal or immigration type trials, but with the viciousness exhibited in family courts, especially with a very aggressive opposing party, I don't think that this is a good arena for him. It is unfortunate that I can only give him two stars, as I really like working with him, but I think this was really just not the type of case that he could shine in.

Mr. Boppana never signed an agreement for representation with our firm. He assumed we were going to assist him based upon his numerous conversations with my staff. We were under no obligation to meet any alleged 10 day promise until a contract was signed. He called upset inquiring about his document and in order to appease him, I sent him a generic document; which annoyed him and when he expressed that to me, I did reply "in kind", which I regret. Upon reflection, I should have simply Informed him that we would prepare the agreement after he signed our contract. I regret that we were unable to satisfy Mr. Bopanna.

I contacted Monks Law Firm looking at the excellent reviews on Google. Steve is extremely rude. His firm was supposed to draft an agreement for me and after 1 hour of talking to him and sending him a very detailed follow up email of the terms of agreement, they promised to get it done in 10 days. After 10 days, all i get is a generic document that he could've given it to anyone without any specifics of my terms. When i called to check on it, he was fiery and rude and being extremely passive aggressive trying to be defensive about missing his deadline. More than the agreement not being done, i was upset at how rude and unprofessionally he spoke. I would never ever go to him again and advise others to stay away from him too.

Terrible lawyer you barely talk to him getting an actual appointment to speak with him is almost impossible he only directs you to his secretaries and most of the time you don't even know what's going on with your case
