I have really been disgusted with my experience these last 2 days. I had a problem with a warning light on my Dacia Duster and phoned Holdcrofts who put me through to the service department to be told to leave a message and someone would call back. The next morning I rang and again I was told I would be put through to "SERVICE" department again I was told to leave a message and would be called back. 3 times I called Holdcrofts and the last time I was very annoyed and the girl said she would walk across and ask them to ring me. Finally I spoke to someone and was told to ring Dacia assist as they were very busy and couldn't look at my car for 2 weeks - yes 2 weeks, I've had the car for less than 5 months from new at a cost of near on 18,000. I rang Dacia assist who told me to ring Holdcrofts as they should have sorted it. Rang Holdcrofts who told me once again to ring Dacia assist to come out and check my vehicle. This I did once more and this time they said they would send someone out inbetween 1 to 2 hours but normally 1 hour. That was at 09:30am, RAC finally arrived late afternoon at 15:30hrs. What a day - totally disgusted with the so called service. Also 2 months ago there was a vibration noise on the door pillar and Holdcrofts wanted the vehicle in for the day, because i hadn't got a copy of my insurance certificate with me which they could have got online I had to catch a bus into Hanley, catch another bus to Chell then walk to Packmoor then repeat to collect my vehicle at 17:00hrs. This is my first and last new vehicle from Holdcrofts - back to my previous Fiat Garage where I had purchased my last 4 new cars without a single problem. If I could give ZERO rating I would.

We took our 2017 Sandero with full itemized history for warranty work on paint areas that had started to crack/rust. We were told to take it to the supplying dealer in Wales, I explained that the warranty work can be carried out at any dealer he said that although they sell Renault and Dacia they are nothing to do with them, and don't have to do warranty work. When I disagreed he said if I got more history from the supplying dealer, the servicing dealer and the past owner he might look at it!! I insisted I had all the history I needed and reluctantly he came to look at the car and suggested it had been in an accident and had new wings and the previous owner had repaired the front end without going through the insurance. On comparing it with a new car he agreed that it was probably original. He then told me if I wanted to pursue the claim they would need the car for a FULL day to get quotes, they would then submit it to Renault who might not authorize the work. When I suggested he had been negative throughout and trying to make it awkward he said that's how they work take it or leave it! My wife said we could take it elsewhere to which he said "good there's your answer then" turned his back on us and walked back into the building leaving us stood in the car park.We didn't even get to discuss a potential service plan that we also wanted. So if you want helpful staff and good customer service avoid Holdcroft!!
