We rented 9 kayaks, they stayed open 30 min over their closing for us. Thanking them for that. Visiting the beach again and renting the paddle boats soon. Lost my sunglasses

Larry and his staff at Thumbs Up Kiteboarding are friendly, knowledgeable and have the perfect location to learn and enjoy kiteboarding or rent a kayak or stand-up paddle board. The beach is huge and water is shallow allowing quick progression. One of my favorite places in Michigan to kiteboard and hang out.

Thumbs Up Kiteboarding is hands down the place to learn to kiteboard. Larry had me riding the second lesson. Larry (the owner) has a huge stoke for the sport and will go way out of his way to get you where you need to be. I signed up for eight hours and he definitely went above and beyond even that. His attention to detail, safety, and ability to teach students who have never been involved in the sport surprised me. Because of Larry I have fallen in love with the sport over night. Furthermore Thumbs Up Kiteboarding is a one stop shop I left there after my second lesson with the skills to go out on my own and had all the equipment I needed. Larry has built a community of kiteboarders who love the sport and are excited for new comers to join. I look forward to being apart of that community and hope to welcome you to it as they have welcomed me. If you wish to get into the sport, Thumbs Up Kiteboarding is the place to do it.
