I would not recommend at all. I was staying at this hotel on a business trip. Some of the staff were really rude. I was told as a guest I could not sit upstairs in the hotel restaurant on my laptop as it was not a good look. The restaurant is open to the public and they obviously care more about them, than the people that are actually staying in the hotel. I still cant believe she told me to go sit in the lobby or go back to my room.
For a high-end hotel they are extraordinarily cheap and distrustful. They retain $100 per night and charge you more for every stupid little detail. You cant even store personal items (whether its drinks or medicine) in the mini fridge or rearrange the existing bottles or youll be charged a yet additional fee (yes, they have a sensor). Valet is overpriced and some of the staff is condescending. Their charging process is shady as well, double charging, retaining the full amount days after the departure which can damage your credit score or your credit card status. The hotel itself is nice and modern inside. But the overall experience is poor due to the extreme stiffness of rules, regulations and fees. Should be a vacation stay, not a place to walk on eggshells just because the $500+ a night is not enough for you. Will not be coming back or recommend to anyone in my circles.
Stayed in Santa Monica right across the water this is the place for great sunset views. Check in was very easy, from driving in - to valet - to front desk the service was impeccable and genuinely lovely. Our room was spacious, spotless, smelled amazing and had nice amenities. The king size bed was veryyyyyy comfortable as well. Wish wed gotten a chance to utilize the gym but we only had time for eating lol The location was super convenient as well to many things we wanted to see and do! The pier being just a couple minutes away! Did have one small request in the morning which I made over the phone, again to very lovely front desk personnel, and it was as promptly delivered with kind service. Id recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a really effortless stay in a pretty hotel.
Super modern and very clean. I appreciated how I could comfortably walk around the room and bathroom without feeling dirty. The hotel looks amazing in the pictures but it was even better in person! I loved the robes, knit throw blankets (so comfy and can bring it with me to the couch), complementary water, and the iPad provided to order room service, wide variety of amenities, and services. All the lights intensities can be adjusted with your touch sensor, which was convenient. The workers are very friendly and maid service is great. Our sink was clogged, but maintenance fixed it up ASAP! One drawback was that the room service food was overpriced for its quality (paid over $20 for 5 pieces of shrimp and $5 for a tiny bottle of Sprite), but thats the case for most hotels anyways. Will definitely be returning here in the future just to see how much nicer the upgraded rooms are :)
