I did not have a pleasant experience here and I will not be coming back. I was pressured by the assistant to get my eyes dilated, then after the exam, the guy who handles the frames just threw a plastic bin up on the table and had me pick through the frames while he sat there and offered no assistance whatsoever, then woman in the front started losing it over the fact that she couldn't verify my insurance, yelling about how worried she was that the office wouldn't get paid, telling the guy with the frames to not even bother letting me pick any out. I asked her for my prescription and she refused to give it to me. Then when I was trying to call the insurance company not one single person offered to help me read the number on the card or dial the number even though I said out loud "I cant see, I just had my eyes dialted" at least 7 times. After about 20 mins of dialing and redialing phone numbers on my phone because my vision was so blurry, the woman handed me my prescription and I left. I had to drive home in the blinding sun with no protective eyewear or anything. I called my insurance company when I got home and it turned out to be a common mistake that the woman could have easily found out by calling. Insurance paid for these, then I took my prescription and bought a much nicer pair online.
I had uncut lenses and was looking for an optometrist to fit them into my frame. but they did not want my business. their excuse was, that they would not know the quality of the lenses. Yeah ... so service only if you buy the whole package from them. I give a second star, because the eye exam I got two months earlier was ok.
Dr. Ulc is such a sweet and compassionate doctor. He really takes an interest in his patients and make you feel very taken care of. The front office staff is very accommodating and happy to help with scheduling. Mike, the person who helps with finding frames, is so sweet and a total riot. They all work together to make going to the eye doctor as enjoyable an experience as possible. I highly recommend this practice.
I used to see Dr. Ulc until I erroneously received a bill and immediately called the Billing Department. She proceeded to argue with me over the bill as I tried to explain to her on how to bill it correctly. She was extremely rude and confrontational. My bill was subsequently paid in FULL by my insurance but BEWARE if you receive a bill from them and check with your insurance before you pay it.
