For Xmas 2018 I was bought a voucher for afternoon tea for two [approx. cost 40].It did not have a 'valid until' date and the purchaser is in no doubt that nothing was seen or heard then or since [until now] to suggest it was time restricted [likewise - me since it was received]. In 2020 an employee at The Lane viewed it and confirmed that it would be honoured at any time 'unless the business folded'. Because of circumstances it was only recently that it was decided to use it but I was dumbfounded when it was rejected by the Manager who stated 'vouchers are only valid for 12 months from purchase'. Underhand and appalling business practice but obviously quite lucrative.
