Terrible place boycott if possible dont go here people very mean and rude and they dont know what theyre doing the bill your insurance without your consent
I don't even want to give one star. The past two years (2017 and 2018) have been terrible. Was there today for my annual eye exam. I am diabetic and expected eye dialation, which apparently wasnt necessary as it was not done (it's been done every year since my diagnosis...this is the first year it hasn't). They tried to tell me I needed to provide them with a kidney diagnosis, though I have no kidney issues. They tried to take my blood pressure saying I had pressure in my eyes and they needed another reading (though afterwards the doctor told me my eyes look fine and that I have good vessles). The assistant got mad at me for asking questions. When testing my eye pressure with the machine, she kept getting aggravated and told me I needed to manually hold my eye open. She repeated the test twice in one eye and three times in the other, getting more aggrivated as time went on. I was asked by my doctor what medications I am taking...and she argued it with me for almost 10 minutes! I am diabetic and am on a strict regimen and she tried (5 times after I politely declined due to my restrictions) to suggest a supplement for me. Every time I go here, there is a problem. In 2016, I had a problem with them not putting anti-glare in my glasses as I requested. The owner did rectify that immediately and I do thank him for that. When I was there in October 2017 for my annual eye exam, not only did my doctor pull up the wrong chart thinking this other person was me (the doctor mentioned we have the same name- I have also had this problem at CVS) and tried to tell me that my birthday is a completely different day than what it is (and I had to show her my license to prove otherwise), she told me that I have a stigmatism, which I have never been told about previously and she didn't even bother to test me for, and added a cylinder to one of my lenses. I'd been calling the office repeatedly because I've had migraines and can't see out of my glasses and I have asked for my true prescription back, however no one bothered to call me back. I finally got through and asked for a new appointment (March 2018). I was also prescribed eye drops for dry eyes and had been calling for refills and the doctor never bothered to call them in for me so I've been without eye drops for quite a while as well. I've had a pair of glasses broken during an adjustment by the workers in the eye shop. And whenever I ask them about sunglasses, they give me the runaround and tell me that I need to wait (that was rectified this year). I would not suggest going to this office, though I do not know what the other office is like. But avoid the Woonsocket office at all costs. They will screw you over and be rude to you. Unless another doctor is taking new patients, I will not consider going back. Update 12/04: now the office won't stop calling me claiming I've ordered new lenses and they are telling me that I need to drop my glasses off for a day. I didn't order, or authorize the ordering, of any lenses.
Called the Woonsocket office to make an appointment as a new patient and didn't have an opening until the 27th. It is February 1st 2019. So I said nevermind I'll look somewhere else, she said "OK" and hung up. So instead of referring me to another location that might have an earlier date, she just says ok and hangs up. Bad service and you guys lost a customer.
