Had multiple bad experiences with this practice. Once I called asking for a contraceptive prescription, the receptionist said I can go in and pick up the prescription but then when I went there I was told that this is not how it works, that I needed to book an appointment with the nurse first-obviously that's perfectly fine but it could have saved me a 45 minute trip to the clinic. Another one is ,I called asking to change my address as I was expecting a letter for a hospital appointment, TWICE the people I spoke to on the phone confirmed it was changed. However time went by and I wasn't receiving any letters, I called to ask why that was and was told again that this is not how it works, you should personally walk in and do it in person. AGAIN no problem with that just wasted to much of my time for no reason and nearly missed my very important hospital appointment. Very disappointing and at this point just silly and funny

Once you are able to actually see a doctor, the medical team are fine. However, the centre maintains a ridiculously antiquated prescription renewal service. Counter staff have terrible organisational skills. Unprofessional time wasters.

Excellent surgery.Been a patient here for over 15 years and have always had a good experience with them.Reception staff are helpful and the doctors are great,especially Dr Fang.I always feel listened to and never rushed.

I have worked for NHS for 29 years and for same GP. I sadly have to register with another GP and went to Star Lane apprehensively with my colleague. I was advised they would not register me as I live out of the area! I work 5 days a week in the same area???? What happened to patient's choice. Even tho I had NHS badge on and had been training on their site the staff were unhelpful. Have now registered with a GP in the same area even tho I don't live there and had no problems I was treated with respect. Get your act together Star Lane!!!!
