There's plenty of things we spend money on without "having something to show for it." Fancy meals, vacations, watching movies, and other experiences have plenty of value even though you don't have something tangible when you're done with it. I'd argue experiences can be even more valuable than tangible things! We certainly don't want folks to have a bad experience, but healing a piercing will always carry some risk. There is a shared responsibility in caring for your piercing once you leave the studio. You should also have realistic expectations of the healing process. We always want to help troubleshoot issues with piercings, but there are some limits on what we can do safely, ethically, and legally. We have a professional obligation to say no if something is a bad idea or illegal. It really limits our options to help you, when you let problems go unchecked until it's a crisis. You claimed to only have started to have issues a couple of days before you came in for our help, but your ear had no scabbing or redness, a sure sign it has had much more time to recover from whatever trauma happened. You had also already removed your jewelry from one piercing, allowing it to close, which we specifically warn against in our aftercare information. I admit I do not have any sympathy for folks that attempt to extort free goods and services from a business by threatening to leave bad reviews. I find that folks that say things like "I'd think as a business owner you'd be concerned about your reviews" tend to expect things for free and then still leave bad reviews. Looks like I was right about that. When you barged back into the studio to ask "one more question", you rudely interrupted us taking in the next appointment. You had your time and asked many questions and had them answered when you stopped interrupting me enough for me to complete a sentence. I literally did not have time to answer any more of your questions because I had other customers who had an appointment and were politely waiting their turn. Arguing with Arthur meant he was not available to assist either. It was clear you were dissatisfied with some of the answers to your questions, but that does not entitle you to take up the time of our other appointments.

New to the neighborhood...hopeful-go local right? Fine initial experience. BUT sadly back post lost in my lobe after 3 weeks. (Ugh) Advice to go to a doctor for surgery. Ok. I wasn't going to post anything negative until I went BACK IN to ask a question about whether I could keep the metal in my ear and get a piercing above it (hey, fat lobes, I don't want Lobe Surgery!). Eye rolling from Christina (owner) who told me she had no time for me. "I can't fix it today! " me -Ok, just a quick question. "Your time is up and I have another client." The other male staff answered my one question cordially. But Christina wanted to add more time onto my 30 second question with her banishing agenda and her rudeness (ugly tone of voice, no empathy). Ok. I'm the one who is out $100 with nothing to show for it but a metal scrap lodged in my ear.. I'm sure it's her on the company's answering machine message. Just listen...makes sense.
Hello Deborah. Are you sure you're leaving a review for the correct studio? I don't have any record of you booking an appointment with us, and we have been operating strictly by appointment for over a year. We're always happy to discuss our sterilization and other safety procedures! You can read about it on our website as well. An overview is available at https://piercingexp.com/procedure/, and more in depth info here https://piercingexp.com/aseptic-technique/

Never in my life have I seen such unprofessionalism. After meeting the woman who would pierce my ears, I asked her about the autoclave and their sanitation procedures... for piece of mind. She became very defensive and said that it's none of her business. Of course it's my business if that same equipment is being use to pierce my ears. Considering what's going on with the COVID, I was shocked that someone could disregard a person's caution for unsanitary procedures & conditions.
Julie was extremely patient, professional, and fun to work with while I got my first nose piercing. Given that I have never had a piercing before, she was understanding and informative with all the questions I had. Highly recommended!
Very happy with my piercing. Going inside its very nice and clean. The atmosphere is very relaxing and the people were amazing. I didn't catch the person at the counter name but he was very kind. Christina was great and has an amazing personality. I will definitely come back here for future piercings and recommend to family and friends.
Made an appointment to change out my nose jewelry. First impression of coming through the door was pretty unwelcoming, but I know with COVID times we are all a little uneasy in social interactions. So I shook that off. I meet Christina, the main piercer and shes very curt and I was feeling like I was inconveniencing her by showing up for my appointment. She takes a look at my piercing and says its too high for a hoop. It may even need more time to heal (I was 4 months into the healing process with zero issues). Ok, thats no problem. Its my first and only piercing and since its a whole new world for me, Im going to listen to the expert. Her recommendation is to give either leave it as is (I got the piercing in order to have a hoop so that wasnt the option for me) or to have it removed and let it heal before getting it pierced again in a better location. She even offers to have me use half of the deposit for that appointment for a time that I can reschedule it to in order to remove it as long as I reschedule by the end of the week. Fair. Sure. Now heres where the problem lies for me and why I would not recommend them. It comes down to customer service. There seem to be plenty of other satisfied customers and maybe those people have had multiple piercings and know that experience better. But when someone walks in who is clearly new to this lifestyle, and you treat them borderline rudely, then offer little to no hospitality after delivering the bad news that the four months of healing and taking care of a new piercing has been basically a waste I have a problem. Furthermore, I was charged the full deposit for the quick rejection I received when I didnt reschedule. I have no problem with paying a deposit for someones time, especially if its on me to have wasted it. But since Im paying for their time, I think it behooves someone to treat a potential present and future customer with more respect and maybe empathize with their situation. Taking 5 minutes of the 15-20 or more I reserved and paid for to actually have a conversation about the upcoming process shouldnt be as inconvenient as it was made to feel like. In conclusion, maybe they do great work. Ill never know. I took my piercing out myself not long after that appointment and its healed up just fine with cleaning it and caring for it. If and when I decide to get it redone, Ill be going elsewhere. I definitely will not recommend this shop for anyone newer to piercings. I personally value customer service, and as an overall experience, I was never helped to feel comfortable nor understood.
