Went in with AC not working and for an oil change. Oil change was completed, and after $120 for an evac and recharge I was told AC repairs would be $1400 for a new compressor, drier, condenser, etc. because the "compressor was shot and likely destroyed the internal mechanism, spreading debris through the whole system". Declined the service. When I picked the car up I was told the oil change was a synthetic blend even though the car calls for full synthetic and was told, "well you didn't ask for that". Brought the car to a different shop for the AC. They trouble shot it to a corroded wire connection on the compressor, $100 out the door, works like new. Will not return to this shop. It's very evident this is one of those shops that immediately recommends the most expensive fix instead of actually troubleshooting problems. Clearly the focus is the bottom line, not the customer.

I dunno I brought it my car because my engine was smoking up, and I was having trouble starting the car. They fixed both issues and it was like 300 for each issue. And I still have those issues! How can you not figure this out? The main relay was the issue and its not even expensive. I dont even believe they replaced the gaskets like they said, when I called and complained about the smoke they said it would burn off after 100 miles and it did not not lol. I asked them to replace the air filter a couple times and it looks like they did not. I get that my car is old but just fix it, or tell me to go to someone else. And stop treating me like Im broke, I have money for general repairs and tune ups just do it when I ask. Really disappointing.

This is the ONLY place i take my Jeep. Chris (owner) is probably the nicest and most honest service tech i have ever met! They ONLY do the necessary repairs and have never tried to upsell me unnecessary add ons. Customer for life!

Things dont always go your way. That is especially true of car maintenance. 2012 Camaro was having a/c issues. The shop was busy after a holiday weekend, but the great team at Ice Cold Air was able to take care of a compressor replacement same day. I also needed my front struts replaced and had been putting it off. The team offered to take care of the work at a discount, as they would rather my ride to be safe than me to worry about my wallet. Also noticed a poor recent oil change and provided me a complimentary full synthetic, which can be costly. The next day I was called to pick up the car. Before arriving, the team called to say that after one more a/c test, they found an additional a/c issue. The dreaded Camaro blend door was busted, which required a complete dash and windshield removal. Their talented tech was able to avoid this ridiculously labor intensive project with a clever workaround, saving me over $1200 for a $60 part, which the shop agreed to do all at no cost to me. Then they slapped some free windshield wipers on my car since the rainy season is upon us. No situation is perfect, but if you are looking for local mechanics who care more about you than your money, I would say they are more than reasonable and I found them extremely polite to work with. Thank you all again for making my car feel new again!

Every year around Christmas, the owner of Ice Cold Air offers a coupon for a free oil change + tire rotation if you donate a toy to Toys for Tots. Today, we did our annual oil change and used this coupon. When we picked up our car, the owner yelled at us for not getting other work done there and said he wants all our business if we are going to use the coupon. I suggested he add that to the coupon and offered to pay for the oil change because we have a trusted family friend do all our repairs. He was shaking angry and refused to take our payment. I would have much preferred him handling the matter in a more professional manner or perhaps change his coupon policy. Since we only need an oil change once per year + our friend doesn't do them, we'd be happy to pay to have them do it. But of course we'll use a coupon if it's there to use. Needless to say, it was one of the strangest retail experiences we've ever had and certainly a strange way to start our Saturday morning.
