It's ok. I was a regular in the 80s and it was for my age group. I'm a bit out of place now. No real ale or decent sarnies. Only food seems to be crisps and the like. Friendly staff. You can drink in or out.

Unexpectedly rude bar staff. It's a historic pub but owned by a chain so when you get to the bar it's the same experience as if you were in any other pub
