The exam visit for my son and I was great, everything after that was a disaster. When you get your prescription, go some where else to purchase frames and lenses. They forgot to put my order for lenses into the system and claimed it was a glitch. Over a month later after calling numerous times, was able to get them. Second, Dave put my order in wrong and they wouldn't correct. Said there is nothing they can do. Will definitely take my business somewhere else with customer service experience.
The front desk was very nice and friendly, but I came in for a contact lens prescription appointment for the 1st time after recently moving to the area and I have a few complaints.] On my 1st visit they brought me into a room and left me alone for what must have been 25-30 minutes. On my return visit to get the contacts from my prescription I tried on my contacts (1 eye very slight astigmatism) and the astigmatism contact did not fit very well. I went home with a trial pair of 2 non-astigmatism contacts, which is what I have been using for years, but they would not give me a paper copy of my prescription to order more. They wanted to try a different brand for the astigmatism eye. I was told they would get right back to me on when I could get those in and I waited weeks again and was never contacted. I called them back today and requested that I just get me paper copy of my prescription so I can order my contacts elsewhere and was told I need to come in for ANOTHER appointment. I have never in my life needed more than 1 day to come in and check my eyes and get a prescription and apparently here you need 2 months and 3 appointments. I will never be coming back to this business again.
My son had difficulty reading and another eye doctor dismissed my questioning whether he could have an eye issue since my son's eyesight was 20/20. Thankfully, someone told me to see out a vision therapist and recommended Dr. Sealock. My son had more than one diagnosable condition with his vision (eyesight is eyes function, vision is how they work together) and they were treatable with vision therapy. After a few months of vision therapy we noticed my son could catch and throw with more accuracy and ease. A couple months after completing his vision therapy, he had a great leap in his reading progress. My son is still dyslexic, that isn't curable, but I am SO glad we looked into treating the additional conditions he had frustrating his reading progress. Although it was physically and emotionally challenging for my son, he remembers the experience (now that it is in the past) with fondness because of the kind, encouraging workers who helped tailor the program to his needs.
All the negative reviews are so accurate. One of the worst optometry I've ever been to. Everything about the service provided here is slow. What could have been a 15 minute appointment turned into an hour because I was waiting in the reception area and in the doctors office as well. And when the doctor came in, he rushed through my appointment. Turn around time for contacts and glasses takes at least 2-3 weeks. Never again
