A useful and friendly source of information about addiction. I referred to their site regarding NHS funding (and lack of) for residential addiction treatment. A pop up appeared offering a chat and I was soon chatting (online/typing) with a chap called Andrew. He was extremnely helpful and I am very grateful to him for giving me so much useful information -- most of which confirms my impression that the NHS simply don't fund the rehabilitation of addicts. The only thing the NHS will fund is a medical detox but most hospitals lack the trained staff for this and it's generally considered useless without accomnpanying 'talking therapies'
