Aditya, We first want to apologize for the lack of a timely response to contact you after all that you have experienced. We can assure you that this is by far extremely uncharacteristic of the way we dictate and operate our company as a whole. Though it has been some time, we would still greatly appreciate any feedback you may be able to provide regarding the agent you were working with to ensure we do not have instances where this is occurring regularly. Please email me at
[email protected]. We hope to hear from you soon, Aditya. Sincerely, Dan Noma, Jr

I cannot recommend working with Venture REI to buy or sell a home. They will approach you with a nice song and dance about their reputation, specifically in the Scottsdale area. They will flaunt how they are able to sell homes and find homes for their clients in record low times (2-4 weeks). This is where the customer service and delivery on their word ends. The real estate agent we worked with at Venture REI was not professional. We told him what area we were looking for houses in, but he was showing us houses mostly outside of our area of interest. Additionally, my wife and I work during the week, so we expected our agent to accommodate us during weekday evenings or on weekends. However, our agent prioritized his personal life and activities, and often told us he was not available when we were, resulting in us missing out on at least 2 houses that we wanted to buy. Venture REI will nickel and dime you for anything and everything. They did not have an open house for us after almost 30 days on the market, and they urged us to lower our asking price to speed up the sale of our home. This was confusing because when we set our price, we (my wife, myself, and our Venture REI agent) looked at comps together and determined our asking price was fair and reasonable. On top of this, our agent was pushing us to accept the first low-ball offer we received, telling us this was probably the best offer we would get. Funny thing is, we received a full price offer 5 hours later, and we began closing the next day... Riddle me that. We would have walked away from $20k+ if we listened to our agent; this is a completely unacceptable level of service from a real estate "professional". We had cameras in our home that we were selling, so we were able to see and hear people who were interested in purchasing our home. One of the most appalling things we experienced during this process was that our real estate agent was showing our home and talking trash about the layout, floors, and style of our home. Are you kidding me?? Our agent is supposed to be on our side, and working with us to help sell our home! Are you that idiotic that you don't understand how this relationship works, who does that?! We then heard our agent say that "we" would be willing to make concessions and reduce our price due to the items the potential buyer did not like about our home...My wife and I never agreed to this, and our agent pulled that BS (beautiful story) out of thin air, thinking he could convince us to agree. Upon finding our new home, we found 6 things that needed to be fixed before we could close on the home. Out of the 6 things that needed to be fixed, 2 were not fixed satisfactorily. Without going into too much detail, this resulted in half of our house flooding the first day when the water was turned on. This won't surprised you- Venture REI did nothing for us and told us to take it up with our home inspector and warranty company, who did nothing because they said they hadn't inspected the leaky pipe during the home inspection... Great! Why did we pay you to perform a home inspection if it wasn't going to be thorough enough to catch critical issues that lead to flooding of our house?! Overall, I would summarize Venture REI as the following: lack of customer service, no diligence (spelled our names wrong on the closing paper work more than once), and arrogant. Working with Venture REI made an already stressful situation more stressful for us; I rate this company a "F".
