I went there for my first piercing, loved the place and the selection. I returned a few weeks later for another and brought a friend for his first, and the staff was unknowledgeable and incredibly rude. Id suggest going to a place with consistent professionalism and that values their customers. There are plenty of other options on St. Marks.
We went for a family piercing day with cousins . They explained the whole process very thoroughly and were very pleasant and professional. My daughter wanted to a double helix piercing on both ears , which they talked her out of ( thankfully ) . The piercing was quick and relatively pain free . The rooms are extremely clean and they take sterilization very seriously. Unfortunately my daughter fainted right after it was done because she didnt eat breakfast in the morning . The piercer was very patient and kind , got her both a piece of candy and a coke to drink , and let her take as much time as she needed to get up . This was in spite of the store getting very busy . Would recommend this place to anyone ! They really know what they are doing . Took their time with every customer who came in .
This is the WORST place to get a piercing. The first time I got it pierced, the earring fell out within 4 days and the owner still charged me to get a replacement. Reluctantly, I agreed since I had already made the trip there. 3 weeks later; my piercings got seriously infected, even despite cleaning it with saline solution every day. Not only did my piercings get infected, I had to go to an emergency room because the earring got stuck in my ear because it was too small and short. Im not one to leave bad reviews, but this was such an expensive and traumatizing experience that I hope no one has to go through it ever. I would give this place zero stars if possible, and even then, it would be doing them too much of a service.
