Lucky's has amazing burgers, but don't go here with children unless you want to be rudely discriminated against. We showed up on a Friday evening recently and the place was busy as expected, so when the hostess said there would be an hour wait for a table we asked if we could sit at the bar. We had our sixteen month old son with us, and he was already showing signs of being very hungry and was not about to be able to wait an hour. We had been looking forward to this outing all week, rare for families with young children as I'm sure any fellow parents out there well know. We have sat with him at many bars, in many states, and he happily sits on my lap, eats his food, and enjoys waving and talking to the bartender and those sitting nearby. This hostess looked at my son and said "well, you can't sit at the bar with him, you'll have to wait for a table." Really? You do realize that is straight up capital D discrimination, right? That is not a Philadelphia law, it is not a state law. I understand that it is a private establishment and you get to make your own rules, but just like you don't get to say, "you can't sit here, you're (insert race here)" or "you can't sit here, you're trans/female/whatever", you also don't get to say, "you can't sit here, you brought your child to dinner." Like most people in this neighborhood often do. We went to Bernie's instead, enjoyed some truly delicious burgers, and were told that yes, it would be absolutely fine to sit at the bar with our son. Don't waste your energy at Lucky's.

I just wished they were more organized here when it comes to parties of 6+. Tried cramming us in a place that clearly didnt fit and then said either we do two tables away from each other or go back on the wait (after a 45 min wait already????) overall not that bad once they finally figured the seating situation out.

One of the best burger places in Philly. Tried the burger of the month (May) that came with cheese dipping sauce. Highly recommend that, the PB&J burger, or the Mac burger. Junkyard tots are great - great change of pace from fries. Be warned at night there's usually a wait of 30+ minutes.

We ate there and had the burger with perogies inside . Different , and not bad . The tater tots and fries very salty. If they wanna sell DRINKS they achieved their goal . It's not a bad place, decorated nicely ..but to make it by better , pay attention to their food prep , and get away from the trendy nitch menus..
