The way the store has been set out makes it very difficult to find what I was looking for. Not happy with these changes, can't see how it helps to sell their products if the only way of finding something is to find a staff member to find it for you.
I feel that some people are hanging on to the CDs and records thing a bit seriously, and the gen z types that want vintage stuff come here. However, it is all (physically) new stuff, none second hand, all newly produced. When hmv sells these brand new records for a minimum of about 25 it's no wonder people use streaming which costs that much for about 2/3 months to listen to millions of songs & podcasts. Because of this, hmv are now trying to flog imported nonsense like artificially flavoured water or whatever (for 5/250ml). So yeah there isn't really anything you can get here reasonably due to this shift of demand and hmv's refusal to diversify (well their attempt is to sell expensive bits of edible tat). Hopefully they won't be going much longer.
