A few weeks ago, I searched Google for a toy store in Manhattan where I could get some construction equipment for my grandson for his birthday. Imagine my surprise whe I found this store: local, not a chain, with a large inventory of Bruder products. I bought him a front loader and a steamroller. The staff was very helpful. The steamroller was broken as we discovered after taking it out of the box at his birthday party. Broken in a way that it had to have been a manufacturing defect. I brought it back to the store and waited 10 or 15 minutes while the clerk disappeared with it. When she came back, she told me I should have returned it earlier, within 14 days (? it was within the 30 day return period and, besides, it was defective), and that there would be a restocking fee. I found another one on the shelf and said I would take that one in exchange. Further, I would not pay a restocking fee. After not inconsiderable resistance she relented. Not even an apology for having sold defective merchandise. I will never shop there again and recommend that my friends avoid the store as well.
Shopping here for decades. Bought a toy that was broken at purchase. We thought it just needed new batteries. 2 days later I asked if, while deliverer is out, they would pick up broken toy and deliver a working one. I was told NO. Im not vaccinated nor do I live nearby. Im surprised at the lack of interest during this strange time.
It is true we are not Amazon, because we are a family run, independent Toy Store located in a high rent area of NYC. We also provide free gift wrap, personal service, and free local delivery, plus the experience of a traditional specialty toy store.

Omg buyer beware. Super super overpriced. The markup is insane. I have seen inflation but this place charges 30 dollars more for stuff. Have to be desperate to shop here. Amazon b prime instead.
