I bought an expensive 8.0 cu ft front load dryer 3.5 years ago and the mother board just went out. Repair price is $535.00 this dryer has had very little use, I am a single guy, I only wash a couple times a month there is no way this thing should fail with such little use. Even if it was a big family washing 10 or more times than I do, there is no way it should go bad so soon! I will never buy another Electrolux product and certainly can not recommend them. It did not perform well from the beginning, as I had to re dry clothes many times and the lint trap has a flat horizontal grate that small items like socks get caught on, it is a stupid design, it should be angled not flat so clothes do not get caught on the shelf! Worst dryer I have ever had and by far the most expensive. The repairman who came out to my house called it PLANNED OBSOLESCENCE, Meaning designed to fail! Hmm seems like a good class action law suit would be in order!
