I was scheduled for an annual eye exam and contact lens fitting. I called on April 14th, and was scheduled for "tomorrow" (April 15th) at 1:30. I set the appointment, and ended up calling back to discuss insurance- the employee I spoke to then did not correct me when I stated my appointment date being the following day. The office was closed when I arrived on the 15th. I called back when they were open and the initial conversation I had was extremely disappointing, as I was told there was not a possibility that I could have been scheduled for April 15th. I was told I was actually scheduled for April 14th at 1:30, which is the day I called and would've meant I was scheduled less than 30 minutes from the time I called, which doesn't seem plausible. Likewise, I feel as though the employee would've corrected me when I said, "see you tomorrow" as we ended the conversation. Mercedes, the employee who scheduled me, stated her name was on the scheduling but that "she didn't do it," which was aside from the point of the problem and, in general, an extremely unprofessional way to represent a practice. I stated I would be willing to schedule a new appointment, but asked if it would be possible to not have to pay the contact lens fitting fee as I have used the same contacts for years, and given the improper scheduling situation I felt it was warranted to receive some sort of compensation and that seemed reasonable to me. I was told it "wouldn't be fair to the other patients." I should have relied on the previous reviews before pursuing an appointment with this office, and I will not be recommending them in the future.
