Please look somewhere else. I do not recommend them. SPECIALLY if youre a minority. They will lie and rip you off. They didnt let us know that we had 2 check settlements from the insurance company, after a car accident. Until the day we had to get our 2k settlement. Totally unfair. They will rob you with a fake smile on their face.

Bad experience within 3 years I had 6 different lawyers nobody ever contact you dont believe its worth them getting 40% of your settlement I will not be doing business with them anymore

My experience at this law firm is shaky at best. I was referred by my chiropractor which was obviously in the chiropractor's best interest. The lawyer that I got when I called in to Bergquist seemed ok, I did some research on him and found that I had a mutual friend who knew him from law school who felt that he would do a good job. Then without any warning after about 6 months he was gone and I was assigned a new lawyer. She was AWFUL, her name was Betty Feng. Everything my first lawyer Eric had told me she told me wasn't true. It took her weeks and one point over a month to return calls or emails. I was calling and emailing 3-4 times a week because I had questions and needed some kind of contact. The law firm was not helpful, I asked if there was a manager I could talk to or SOMEONE. They would transfer me to the office manager who I would leave voicemails for, they were never returned. Literally, I had no ability to get a hold of anyone for over a month. When I did finally talk to her she told me my case could take 2 years (it had already been a year). It was insanity and I was stuck, every time I talked to her she blamed everything on my first lawyer even after I'd been assigned to her for over 4 months (she had missed some of my bills but of coarse it wasn't her fault). In the meantime I'm getting bills from procedures that I though they were taking care of and all kinds of other correspondence I'm not sure what to with, it was so stressful! Then she was gone thank goodness!!! I was assigned to Lina who was wonderful, she answered calls and emails promptly, answered questions and actually worked on my case! She was able to get things settled in about 4 months with a favorable outcome. However, she's no longer there either, I got a letter for collections about 6 months after we settled from one of the hospital services. The service was listed as paid out on my settlement but when I called to get help from Bergquist (Lina is not longer there) and no one returned my call. I called the collections company and left them a message with Bergquist's information and told them it was part of the settlement. I haven't heard back from anybody so fingers crossed it's over. This process was so stressful, Bergquist appears to be a turn and burn beginning lawyer outfit, and maybe you'll get someone good and maybe you'll get someone terrible but you probably won't have the same person for long. There is absolutely no way to escalate things or get people to call you back. I'm giving 1 star only because after A LOT of headache there was a favorable outcome but I still worry something is going to come up (like another creditor) because it's been less than a year since it was settled. Edit: I was contacted after this review and someone we able to properly close the case out for me. This was much appreciated and shows their are competent people working there you just dont always have access to them.
