You are factual incorrect . We had a hearing on the issue of jurisdiction. The judge ruled against us, even though no case was filed in Tennessee at the time. The only choice was to file an appeal, which was not taken by the client. The client elected not to pay the balance due on the case to complete the case.

I had hoped the reviews were correct but we found out otherwise. He does have a good personality but that's about it. We had filed pro se initially and the other party tried to get the case thrown out so we hired him in order to finish out everything. I did most of the work, including initial filings and looking up case law and code which he didnt even bother to look at. The other side lied and said they filed something in Tennessee which if he had been on the ball he could have asked where the stamp was...it was never filed. We lost partially in that hearing directly from him not looking over the code I gave him (which included the code from the other state which proved she wasn't even a resident of that state at the time) and the fact that he didnt question the other filing. He then wanted more money to finish up the case and never gave us invoices for what had previously been spent. We then filed to go pro se again and finished the case because really $750 for one small filing that any Joe Blow off the street can do?

The facts of a case should be told up front in all representation. If that is not done the attorney has a hard time later on.
