John, I apologize for your confusion on how our deposits work. If you were to reference your receipt, you would see the stipulations added to the bottom that state the terms under which you are entitled to refund of your deposit. The deposit was not only to hold the vehicle but it was a formal commitment in order for us to purchase and install parts at your request to make the deal make sense for you. If you simply changed your mind on wanting to purchase the vehicle, although fine, it is on your end that the deal was broken hence as to why you are unable to recover your deposit. Once again to clarify, we only accepted the deposit in this instance to cover our additional costs in the vehicle if you choose not to follow through with the purchase. This is a standard and reasonable practice and at no point was that hidden from you. We even provided additional notes on the receipt per your request. Additionally, nobody intentionally hung up on you and we had reached out and apologized if you had felt we did so intentionally and will once again apologize for that. The work on your Accord will be followed through and it will be ready for delivery on the date stated on your receipt. At that time your deposit will be applied to the purchase price of the vehicle. Until then, it is a collateral and a commitment on parts and a purchase. Otherwise any default of the deal on your end will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. If you have any additional questions please do not hesitate to reach out.

Buyer beware. The owner Faruk is currently holding my $500 deposit against my will and, by my understanding, against Indiana law. I verbally agreed to a deposit on a car here pending his fixing the steering wheel vibration and he assured me many times I would get to test drive the car again after he fixed it with the right to refund if I didn't like how it ran. He even said "we don't take people's money" many times. I have chosen not to buy the car and he is not refunding me. My understanding after talking to several dealers is that this is against the law since Faruk didn't actually provide any goods or services for me and my deposit is simply a hold on the car that I am always eligible to have refunded. When I called Faruk about this he declined to refund me and hung up on me. I just got off the phone with him for the second time and he is refusing to give me my money back.
I had been car shopping for a week and after no luck, I came across Velocity Motors on CarGurus and Im sure glad I did! Faruk was very pleasant and most of all honest. When I took the vehicle I was interested in for a test drive, I noticed it needed some work done. Faruk diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts that night so I could test drive it again the next day. After taking it for a second drive I knew this car was the one for me! Im so glad I found Velocity Motors! If youre looking for a reputable smaller sized dealership, that will not pressure you whatsoever, check this place out! Thank you again Faruk for your assistance!
