I have never bought a vehicle from Charles Hurst before, as I always had the impression that they were the top of the range in terms of customer service, quality and price. This year I decided that with everything going on, it would be a pragmatic idea to buy through such a reputable showroom. Throughout the process I dealt with the showroom manager David. Despite a number of technical hiccoughs with remote purchasing, he was mannerly and easy to work with. In the end we actually ordered two vehicles, a Logan and a Sandero, both 2018. The cars were ordered sight-unseen with the promise of warranty and pre-delivery inspection that would take care of any issues and delivered shortly thereafter. We were told that both would be inspected, have any minor dings and issues sorted, come with warranty and a full tank of petrol. All as I expected from Hurst's. Unfortunately there were a number of disappointing things I noticed - neither car had a full tank of petrol, both were half-full; an issue I didn't see the point in raising. The Logan's warranty document never arrived. The Sandero's V5 document was filled out with another customer's full information (a fairly serious GDPR issue). Both cars had split wiper blades - the Logan all 3 were split (this is an MOT failure). The Logan had 4 dings which had been poorly repaired - I had been told that Approved Used cars would have "Smart Repairs" done. The Logan had 2 wheel trims that were damaged around the edge. The headliner of the Logan was covered in hundreds of tiny yellow stains (appears to be glue bleed-through). The Logan's boot carpet/floor was split down the centre, meaning it sags into the spare wheel well. We knew neither car would have a spare wheel, however it was clear that the Logan had its spare wheel removed and replaced with a hole-puncture repair spray. Both cars had part-worn tyres - not an issue, other than one of the Logan tyres has a slow puncture. My takeaway is that I should've stayed with Shelbourne Motors who we have dealt with for years. We have never had any similar issues with them. The few problems we have had, they have been rectified under warranty (other than a headlight issue). I get the impression that a lot of the issues were probably due to a breakdown in communication between the showroom staff and the garage staff as my sister was also promised a tank of petrol with her car and didn't receive one. I would guess that the Logan didn't have any smart -repairs done and that the poor repairs were done by the previous owner and simply missed. I get that lockdown had just ended and that they were very busy, but I'm not sure I would do business with them again. Nice enough to deal with initially, but more issues with the car than I had hoped having gone through the biggest/most well-known main dealer.

Both the sales executive and the service plan manager were very friendly and helpful and assisted me to make the right choice of vehicle, Finance option and service that in the end I felt were best suited to me I was very happy and impressed with the whole experience
Got my car serviced here and the front Mats wentry missing , no apology or replacements
