Took my Citroen into get a sump seal leak fixed (fixed under Citroen warranty, purchased elsewhere). They said it's a very simple job, takes no time at all. Took them days to get the car back to me and when I got the fix inspected by an independent inspector there is still a leak (which was then re-confirmed by original car retailer's mechanics - in the process of being fixed by those retailer's mechanics as my faith in City Cars is gone) They also told me incorrectly that my car has a built in dashcam (it does not). All in all, not good. I've given them a couple of stars rather than 1*, because their staff were kind and friendly, and they have a nice clean reception. In terms of mechanics - they get a zero star
Hello Jennifer Thank you for your comments. Unfortunately, bird deposits are highly acidic and potentially corrosive which means that when in contact with car paint surfaces they can, and probably will, eat into the paint and lacquer. For that reason, you should never leave these droppings on a paint surface and they should be removed at the earliest opportunity with warm soapy water or specialist cleaning agents if the droppings are stubborn. Manufacturers warranties do not cover damage to paintwork caused by the environment such as, for example, chemicals, animal residues, sand, salt, projections of gravel or natural phenomena such as hailstones and other external factors. Bought new Citroen and after warranty ran out paint was coming off of roof - informed them and they had it in to look - their response was that it had happened because of bird poo!! to me that means that the paint on the roof is not fit for service - or do I have to cover it up every time I park it to stop birds flying over it - or more ridiculously give it a wash every day just in case !! Avoid this company - lovely while you are spending money but anything goes wrong and you tell them - this is one of the stupid excuses they come up with

Customer service TOP NOTCH !!. An accidental post to the wrong department of city motors on here, a 5 minute phone call from City Motors Citroen, left feeling cared about and valued as a motability customer. Cannot fault customer service. Highly recommended 5.

My car broke down and was taken to City Motors Bristol because the fault was in part electrical and it needed to go to a Citroen dealer. my car languished with them for six weeks, they only gave me a loan car when I complained to Citroen, the car came back damaged, they photographed it but never came back to me to rectify the damage or recompense me. My experience was very poor, poor communication, badly organised and seemingly no oversight from the management. I live in South Wales, so hopefully I will never have to go back but it has put me off owning a Citroen.
